The centre is open after normal surgery times until midnight every day. These hours may be extended in the future.

REDBRIDGE ON CALL

Redbridge GP On Call is a non-profit making out-of-hours co-operative, set up by general practitioners in and around Redbridge in September 1995. It provides an emergency general practitioner service outside the normal hours for NHS patients, from a primary care emergency centre located in the Outpatients Department at King George Hospital. The doctors working in the primary care centre are local general practitioners.

Mission Statement

We seek to provide the highest standard, easily accessible, and user friendly urgent out-of-hours care to patients of our general practitioner members, by local doctors working in co-operation with each other.

We Aim To Provide:

A prompt initial medical assessment. A telephone advice service.

An out-of-hours, face-to-face consultation facility in an appropriate clinical setting, with all the required equipment and a rapid access to emergency hospital admission if necessary.

An improved response time for home visits when appropriate.

A prompt referral to the emergency services when appropriate.

A supply of appropriate emergency drugs when pharmacies are closed.
